NO HEAT WAVES!!!

Summer is a great time to give your hair a healthy break from heat tools. This doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice style though! These "headband waves" are a great way to get beautiful, beachy waves without the use of any heat tools!

In the video, Amanda demonstrates how you can make your own headband waves!

1. Start with hair that is freshly shampooed and towel dried.

2. Apply a small amount of Kevin.Murphy's Young.Again oil from mid-shaft to ends (do not apply any to your roots)

3. Blow dry or air dry hair until it is about 90% dry.

4. Work through a little more Young.Again oil through ends, and tie headband or scarf around your head, right above your ears, low enough to cover top of forehead and below occipital bone
(the bone at the base of your skull). Determine tightness of wave by taking smaller/larger sections - for tighter waves take smaller sections, bigger sections will create looser waves.

5. Begin on one side pulling the front section of hair down, smooth it and loop over and through headband. Repeat by adding another section of hair to the original section, then loop it through the headband just like the first section. Repeat, until you reach the back of your head.

6. Repeat process on other side until meeting the first side in the middle. Bring both sides together as one, and loop it through the headband. Tuck ends into headband. Make any final cosmetic adjustments and let your waves "set." Wear for under 3 hours for looser, beachy waves, or all day/overnight for long lasting tighter, bouncy waves.

7. Remove headband carefully and shake out the hair. Using a small dollup of Kevin.Murphy's Motion.Lotion, scrunch into curls to add extra hold and to create a beachy texture and look.

We would love to see your waves!
